It actually stopped raining today and there was a pink sky as the sun was setting. This has to be a good sign surely? Could summer finally be on the way.. I’m doubtful.

This was more than enough to keep me out of the ocean but a little further down the beach there seemed to be plenty of people more than happy to ignore the warnings and enjoy the warm water. Crazy!

This may look like some form of photoshop, but it is apparentlythe world’s largest deckchair and can currently be seen on Bournemouth beach. It’s over eight meters high and for the next two days will be on Bournemouth beach to mark the start of the summer.
Commissioned by Pimms and created by sculptor Stuart Murdoch, I had to pop down this evening to take a look for myself and it’s even more impressive in person and well worth visiting if you have a chance before it goes!
