This is Duke Kahanamoku and he is considered to be the father of modern day surfing. This is a statue of him on Waikiki Beach, Oahu, Hawaii that greets people arriving at the beach. There is also a chain of Duke’s restaurants that pay tribute to him. Shot on Laniakea Beach, Oahu, Hawaii.
